OUR PROJECTS

Hope Home

Located in the Irrawaddi area with  over 50 children, Hope provides a safe and nurturing environment for every child. The house manager for Hope is Cleo who loves and works hard to assist each child to reach their full potential. Each child not only goes to school but also learns practical skills like sowing and planting vegetables. Hope children have plenty of activities to keep them busy such a bicycle riding, board games and of course ball games.

Geeves Home

Located in the Hlegu area with 17 children, 2 pigs, 5 piglets, 7 geese, 12 chickens that are being used for eggs and 8.75 acres leased for paddy fields, Geeves home provides a vast amount of learning experiences for every child.

Geeves Home is run by Maw Maw. We built a large dam which provides water for the fields, children and neighbours who don't have any source of water apart from the rain. All the children here go to school and also learn how to cook, feed the animals, work in the fields and also enjoy themselves with various indoor and outdoor games such as Takraw bamboo ball and puzzles (brought over from Australia).

Fletcher Farm Home

Located in the Kachin State we have just opened Fletcher Farm Home. There are 10 children that stay there at the moment. Fletcher Farm Home is surrounded by refugee families due to wars and other problems within the country. Fletcher Farm home is run by wife Htet Htet, who care for the children as well as her own two young ones. Htet Htet husband Gam runs the small farm which consists of pigs, goats, chickens and a variety of vegetables and fruit trees. All children in this home come from war torn areas. Gam also teaches the children how to play guitar.

Lowes Home

Located in the Mon state on a 1/8 of an acre with brick walls, mezzanine floors, a well and pump, Lowes Home is home to 15 children.

Emily is the  care giver, providing the necessary love, encouragement, physical and spiritual guidance to help each of these children achieve their best. The children here learn to cook, clean, sow, get an education and play new games. Emily with the help of her husband also runs a 10 acre vegetable farm currently decimated by the bombing which was supposed to support the home financially 

Smartline & Richardson Homes

Located in the most bottom part of Myanmar, in Dawei, Smartline & Richardson are on a 1-acre block that is subdivided with the front half being leased to a large worldwide organization. This helps support the home

Smartline is the all-boys home which is the original house on the block that was altered by the founder. About 4 feet away is the Richardson all-girls home. Smartline contains 22 boys and Richardson has 38 girls.

New toilets were installed due to a generous donation. There is 3 Sewing machines, 1 scooter & 29 bicycles - bicycles are cleaned and oiled every Saturday.

The children all attend school and learn sewing from Naw Thein Hla their House Mother. They ride bikes, play indoor games,  bamboo football or enjoy their slide and swings.

Lesley Home

Located in Hlegu on 1/2 an acre which is leased. The property is 60 meters from the river. Lesley has goats with an animal shed. They grow squash, beans and Maringa trees. Maringa trees are grown and sold to the local community, used for cooking and medicinal needs. It contains a pump and well and a small boat for fishing on the river. 

April is the House Mother  & oversees Lesley home which accommodates 20 children and a widow. Min April's husband is a keen fisherman and enjoys showing the children how to fish and row the boat.

The children at Lesley all go to school. There is a primary school nearby. The secondary school is a fair distance away and requires great effort to avoid sliding through the mud on their journey to school. The children are a happy carefree group who learn to look after the goats, plant, cook and sew clothes. The children have some guitars which they play and sing with enjoying tribal dancing with their songs. also play various games such as puzzles, bamboo football, tag and many more.
