About Us

The Ian Richardson Foundation (IRF) is a Christian based not-for-profit incorporated body, with tax deductibility status of a Public Benevolent Institute staffed by volunteers.

Our primary activities are two-fold:

Within Australia

• Providing temporary accommodation, and relief, for the destitute, those impoverished through turmoil or abuse, in emotional or stressful situations, sickness, or suffering due to adverse circumstances.
• Giving temporary support to people struggling for survival who live within the community.
• Assist personal efforts in practical ways to vulnerable people who are helpless in their destitution.
• Participate in one on one discussions as requested.

Outside Australia - Preach, teach, care and feed

Currently donations are centred on

• Care of Orphans and unprivileged children as they are educated to adulthood
• Purchase of land to build Children's Homes and boarding homes in Myanmar (Burma)

Many caring people in this nation exist in difficult financial circumstances due to impoverishment and loss of life and land through a long civil war. All properties purchased are for local Burmese citizens, who approach us with their requirements.

Presently we provide funding for over 140 children in seven different homes (Hope Home, Smartline/Richardson Homes, Lesley Home, Fletcher Farm Home, Geeves Home and Lowes Home), providing housing, food, clothing and educating children and adults in life skills. Care is given regardless of faith, creed or circumstances.
